Marasmus

More than 10 million children under the age of 5 die in developing countries each year. Nearly 50% die from marasmus.  Marasmus is a form of severe malnutrition where the child’s body has a bony appearance with loose skin and has the face of an old man.  A child’s body that suffers from marasmus is devoid of fat and muscle tissue. Their body is literally wasting away.  With today’s technology, no child should die from preventable causes like marasmus.  You are God’s instrument for helping hungry children. You have the power to ease their misery.  You have the power to save lives.  All it takes is a few clicks of the mouse and a few dollars that you will hardly miss.

Mission Statement

Run to end Hunger is dedicated to the cause of Ending World Hunger. I believe that with today’s technology, there is no reason why anyone should starve to death. It is for this reason that I am pledging ten cents for every mile that I run to the charities listed on this site. I welcome everyone to support my cause.

Virtual Coast to Coast Run for World Hunger Awareness

I do not run many races any more, so beginning September 2013, I will donate ten cents for every mile that I run to my three favorite charities: Food for the Poor, Mercy and Grace and Believe in Zero. At the same time, I will be running (virtually) from the Most eastern city in the US to the Most western city in the US. A total distance of 3,587 miles.
